Michael Saylor’s Strategy has acquired 6,556 Bitcoin for approximately $555 million between April 14 and 20, averaging an acquisition price of $84,785 per Bitcoin. This purchase was financed through proceeds from the company’s Common ATM equity offering and Series A perpetual convertible preferred stock offering, as confirmed by a recent SEC filing.

The funding resulted from selling 1.7 million shares of MSTR and over 91,200 shares of STRK, yielding over $555 million in net proceeds. As of April 20, Strategy retains over $1.5 billion in MSTR shares and nearly $21 billion in STRK shares available for future transactions.

Saylor’s Strategy aims to enhance its Bitcoin reserves, targeting $42 billion in holdings by the end of 2027, irrespective of market fluctuations. Following this acquisition, the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings reached 538,200, comprising over 2.5% of the total BTC supply, valued at approximately $47 billion at current market prices.

This announcement aligns with Saylor’s previous communications regarding the firm’s portfolio tracker, often interpreted as a precursor to a forthcoming acquisition. Notably, this marks the second consecutive week of Bitcoin purchases by the firm, following a previous acquisition of 3,459 Bitcoin for around $286 million the week prior.

Additionally, Saylor disclosed that over 13,000 institutions now maintain direct investment exposure to Strategy. The increased involvement of Strategy within financial markets and its listing on Nasdaq 100 have attracted substantial retail and institutional investments, significantly boosting capital inflows into Bitcoin.
