Crypto.com Opens New Office in Washington D.C. for U.S. Expansion

Crypto.com has launched a new North America office in Washington D.C., aimed at boosting its presence in the U.S. market. This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to engage with the evolving regulatory landscape and support cryptocurrency adoption. The office will focus on public affairs and will add staff over time, complementing its existing headquarters in Tyler, Texas, while highlighting its commitment to compliance and innovation.

Crypto.com has officially opened a new regional office for North America, right in Washington D.C. The timing couldn’t be more crucial as the cryptocurrency platform sees the U.S. as a vital part of its growth strategy, especially considering the evolving landscape of regulations. Matt David, who holds the title of president for North America, made these statements that echo the importance of solidifying the company’s presence amid increasing regulatory scrutiny.

David pointed out that the current regulatory environment has matured under the existing Administration, suggesting a hopeful outlook for cryptocurrency under the leadership of certain Congress members. He stated that enhancing their presence in D.C. will allow Crypto.com to better collaborate in advancing both their business and the crypto industry more broadly. This move indicates that the company is serious about engaging with policymakers in a responsible way.

The new office will focus primarily on government and public affairs related to Crypto.com’s operations in the U.S. Initially, the staffing will include existing team members, but there’s a clear plan to bring in more talent as they expand operations. This new D.C. office is in addition to the North America headquarters that is already up and running in Tyler, Texas—which was set up just this year.

Founded back in 2016, Crypto.com is no stranger to the industry; it claims to have a user base that exceeds 100 million and has built a reputation for its commitment to regulatory compliance and security. Their slogan, “Cryptocurrency in Every Wallet,” reflects their mission to drive the adoption of digital assets, focusing on innovation and empowering the future wave of entrepreneurs.

Moreover, earlier in the year, Crypto.com secured a full Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) license, allowing it to operate more efficiently within the European Union. This newfound capability enables the company to offer a full suite of crypto services throughout the European Economic Area, presenting significant advantages in terms of regulatory transparency and overall service delivery.
