Weiss Crypto Predicts Potential Bitcoin ATH Date for May 2025
Weiss Crypto predicts Bitcoin (BTC) could reach a new all-time high by May 23, 2025, based on its Crypto Timing Model. Currently priced at $103,017, BTC needs to rise 5.9% to surpass its January ATH of $109,114. Conversely, Solana (SOL) struggles with a drop from its peak, and other altcoins face mixed reviews. High-profile predictions for Bitcoin reaching $1 million by 2028 further fuel community optimism.
Weiss Crypto, a key player in digital asset research, has stirred excitement about Bitcoin’s potential price movements. The agency recently hinted that Bitcoin (BTC) could be on track to reach a new all-time high (ATH) by May 23, 2025. As the only cryptocurrency currently holding an A-rating from Weiss Crypto, Bitcoin is being closely watched by its 40,000 followers on social media platform X.
The forecast from Weiss Crypto is based on their proprietary Crypto Timing Model. Bitcoin is currently trading at around $103,017, reflecting a slight dip of 0.61% in the last 24 hours. The previous ATH for Bitcoin was noted at $109,114 on January 20, 2025. To hit the predicted target, Bitcoin would need to increase by about 5.9%. Given the cryptocurrency’s recent trends, such an upward movement might be feasible.
In contrast to Bitcoin’s optimistic outlook, Solana (SOL), which ranks as the fifth largest altcoin, seems to have peaked for this cycle. Currently priced at $167.84, SOL is down 42.9% from its January ATH of over $293. Weiss Crypto’s analysis reveals that SOL’s price has dipped below a significant trend reversal line, signalling caution for investors.
Weiss Crypto also evaluates Solana alongside other notable altcoins like Hedera (HBAR), Algorand (ALGO), Celestia (TIA), Render Token (RNDR), and Sonic (S), categorising them as B-rated. The overall sentiment in the Bitcoin community, however, remains robust. High-profile figures such as Arthur Hayes, the founder of BitMEX, predict ambitious targets for Bitcoin, suggesting it could reach $1 million by 2028. This forecast hinges on expectations of foreign capital returning to the U.S. and boosting BTC liquidity, especially during times of declining treasury prices.
Additionally, prominent early Bitcoiner Adam Back has made bold assertions that Bitcoin might indeed breach the million-dollar mark soon, possibly even within the year. This optimism reflects a broader enthusiasm within the cryptocurrency space, as investors closely monitor market dynamics.
