Bitwise has successfully listed four of its crypto Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) at the London Stock Exchange (LSE), targeting UK professional investors. This move enhances accessibility to its institutional-grade Bitcoin and Ethereum products and signifies a strategic expansion across European markets. The range includes two Bitcoin ETPs, a Physical Ethereum ETP, and an Ethereum Staking ETP, all tailored for serious investors seeking credible exposure to cryptocurrencies.
The listing features the Bitwise Core Bitcoin ETP (BTC1), recognised for its cost efficiency with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.20%, and is designed for long-term institutional investment. Furthermore, the Bitwise Physical Bitcoin ETP is distinguished by its robust liquidity and has a five-year performance track record, making it the most sought-after Bitcoin ETP in Europe.
The Bitwise Physical Ethereum ETP (ZETH) is designed to provide investors with direct exposure and robust security through institutional-grade custody, while the Bitwise Ethereum Staking ETP (ET32) allows investors to benefit from staking rewards. This ETP is unique in benchmarking, enabling performance assessment relative to industry standards, and demonstrates consistent demand by maintaining positive inflows.
Bradley Duke, Bitwise Europe’s Managing Director, emphasised the importance of the LSE listing as a means of driving institutional investment in crypto assets. He underlined the company’s commitment to delivering secure and transparent investment products, facilitated by a knowledgeable team that understands the unique needs of institutional investors in this dynamic asset class.
Bitwise continues to innovate, having launched various new products since its acquisition of ETC Group. Its ETFs are structured to allow investors easy access to cryptocurrencies via regulated exchanges, without necessitating a crypto wallet. Each product is backed by the corresponding digital asset, securely held in cold-storage custody to minimise insolvency risks and maximise investor security.
The ETPs are suitable for inclusion in standard brokerage and ETF accounts and are often eligible for tax-efficient wrappers like ISAs and SIPPs, making them ideal for long-term investment strategies in the UK. Bitwise remains committed to providing educational resources and market insights, fostering informed investment decisions in the evolving digital assets landscape.
